Activity 12: Passing a New Law

In Nazi Germany after passing the Enabling Act, the government was able to pass whatever laws they wanted to. 

In Britain today, it is not possible for the government to simply introduce laws that would come into immediate effect.  New laws are created through a parliamentary process.  Find out how a law is passed today in Britain.
