Activity 10 - Thinking about Nationality and Identity Today

One of the features of fascist groups is their extreme interpretation and limited understanding of the concept of nationality. They see national identity as exclusive. They exclude people who do not suit their agenda.

In a democratic society, we understand that national identity can be made up of a number of parts. National identity in a democracy does not have just one, single meaning.

The activity below should start you thinking about your national identity living in this country. There are no right or wrong answers. The task should get you thinking, talking, asking and answering questions. The activity is in four stages.
