Looking at the kinder (German for children).

Looking at Kinder (German for children)

  • Why do you think the children have a number around their neck?
  • In what ways is the number similar but different from the identification tags placed on children left in Nazi Germany and occupied Europe?
  • Look how one child is smiling and one child isn’t.  What feelings does this picture stimulate in you?

  • Is there anything surprising about this image?
  • If so, what?
